If the person balks at the time and has fastpass capabilities, they will get a fastpass/lightning lane return time and then join the virtual queue. This balking time is different for every person, much like it is in reality. When the person gets to the ride entrance, they either get in line, or balk at the time and leave to go find another ride. The person then selects one of the more favorable rides and walks to it.
When it comes time for an individual to select a ride, all 10 rides are scored based on the current wait time, how the ride matches the person’s thrill preferences, and whether or not they have already ridden it. Whether or not the person has fastpass capabilities, 1/3 of park guests have this capability for the Genie+ simulation.
